Capsule Collection

Emma Hill already knew and loved Il Bisonte before this partnership. When she lived in New York she admired its original, eclectic creations among the colourful, crowded streets of the city.

This Capsule Collection is the evolution of a shared idea because, as she said, “it can all be found in the history of the brand and its collections”. Emma Hill adds her personal touch to the very essence of Il Bisonte through the celebration of details, which are the absolute protagonists of its bags.

I am convinced that a product that is designed and created with love safeguards such love within itself forever,

The true heritage spirit of these eight bags can be found in its shades, lines and in its signature’s material, Vacchetta leather—vintage is reworked with a contemporary twist through the creative reinvention of existing details.

In the Seventies, drawing inspiration from the Tuscan coastline, Wanny Di Filippo thought striped canvas would perfectly match the Vacchetta leather of his creations. During one of his holidays in Versilia his attention was captured by the canvas of the beach deckchairs. The resistant, weather-beaten fabric with its colours faded due to wear was the sole witness of the cycle of seasons.

Emma Hill, fascinated by Il Bisonte’s iconic styles, has chosen stripes as the leitmotiv of the entire Capsule Collection, reproducing glossy embossed stripes on the opaque Vacchetta leather.

Hardware is a recurring element in the creations of the brand, and Emma Hill proposes it in minimal chic brass closures. Il Bisonte’s logo is framed by the exclusive signature of the entire Capsule Collection—the closure of the bag becomes a precious detail, a padlock.

Emma drew inspiration from the leather aprons covered in pockets worn by the craftspeople of Il Bisonte laboratories, who always need to have their working tools at their fingertips. Style embraces functionality and the bag is like an extension of yourself rather than being a simple accessory.

"I design bags keeping in mind that it must be easy to find items inside!" The bags come with pockets sewn both on the inside and the exterior, just like those of the craftspeople, as bold, distinctive traits of this capsule collection.
