Caramella bag
Designed in 1973, Caramella is the first of Il Bisonte’s convertible bags and the longest-standing icon of the brand.
Thanks to its lightweight, versatile, and clever, space-saving design, Caramella is a perfect travel companion, adapting playfully and effortlessly to the needs of its wearer.
With just a few simple adjustments, the shoulder bag expands into a weekend bag or folds down flat, ready to disappear inside another suitcase or the wardrobe.
From the idea to the bag
Present in Il Bisonte stores for more than five decades, Caramella was conceived by the brand’s founder, Wanny Di Filippo, who created the first prototype using the fabric from a Forte dei Marmi beach deckchair.Reinterpreted year after year in new colors and materials, Caramella has always preserved its distinctive shape, reminiscent of a wrapped candy, as well as its shoulder and buckle straps in vegetable-tanned leather.
Vagabonda bag
Another timeless icon from Il Bisonte’s “free style,” the convertible Vagabonda bag was designed in 1976.
Dedicated to the traveler who carries only the essentials yet is always ready to return home with a little something extra, it is a comfortable, ultra-light, and spacious travel sack in fabric and leather that – when needed – rolls up tight to minimize its bulk.
From the idea to the bag
Vagabonda’s design is minimal in every detail: from the front it is a simple rectangle, while from the side it takes on the essential triangular shape inspired by the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet, Delta — a symbol of harmony and balanced proportions.
In continuous production for 50 years, Vagabonda is constantly being reinvented through new color variations.
